My name is Jay Weigel and Renewal Financial Coaching has been a dream of mine since 1999. I was well on my way to a secure financial future when I made a giant misstep. Through the influence of a good friend, I invested all my savings AND a second mortgage on my house with a financial institution with international roots. Six months after this investment, this company was raided by the FBI and its officers were arrested for fraud. They were subsequently tried and convicted. The bottom line, however, was that I lost all of the money I had invested—every last dime of my savings.

I was 40 years old with no liquid assets and the added burden of also repaying a second mortgage. Ouch! Nonetheless, I started over with renewed vigor to make up what was lost. Little by little, making sacrifices as needed, I have been renewing my financial base without going into additional debt.

Through these experiences, I have learned a lot about finances, debt, credit and how important it is to have a strategic plan to pay bills, save and invest. Along the way, I learned that there are a lot of others in this same boat of financial difficulty. Very few people are taught about how to use money and so, the rest of us, must learn through trial and error.

So, I decided to obtain training in order to help others climb out of their financial black holes that have caused them to lose peace, hope and financial security. Thus, Renewal Financial Coaching was born.
